Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented Content Designer to join our team. As a Content Designer, you will be responsible for creating engaging and user-centered content across various platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute content strategies that align with our brand and business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Help create an Information Architecture for new.mta.info.

• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders across multiple agencies to ensure their

content is findable.

• Work with the product team to build new CMS tools and features, serving as the

main evangelist for content editors.

• Recruit editors and writers from various agencies within the agency, training them on

the CMS and showing them how to update their sections of the website themselves.

• Manage all site updates, approving changes from the various agencies.

• Own and update a set of text and language standards for the MTA, potentially

including voice and tone.

Qualifications:

• Superior writing ability, including enthusiasm for writing at a lower grade level and simplifying complicated ideas. You should love understanding and explaining things to people.
• Experience in marketing, journalism, communications, or some other field where you were forced to write for the public and meet deadlines.
• Experience with a CMS (Drupal, WordPress, or something similar).
• Some experience with content design, or at least strong opinions about web page layout.
• Ability to collaborate with senior management across the spectrum of an organization while advocating for customer-centric voice and tone.
• Experience with product or project management software including JIRA, Trello, Airtable, Asana, or something similar.
• Some experience with information architecture is a plus, but you should at least have strong opinions about website layouts and making content structured and discoverable.
• Experience in user-centric principles.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $50,000.00 - $90,000.00 per hour
